Frankly speaking, 2019 has been quite a good year. Yes, it had it’s own store of ups and downs to offer but amidst the jargon, it had me realise mistakes and follies which I implore not to repeat in the coming year.
Here are my list of ten realisations last year , so here goes 2019 in 10 points :

1) Try to be happy, on your own.
2) While trying to be happy, remember that you are the only one who is responsible for your own happiness.
3) Except for your family and yourself, the rest of the world is not really bothered about how you feel.
4) So the next time you’re low, instead of posting “I’m sad ” statuses on social media, talk to your near and dear ones first (then of course, if you still want the whole world to know, then hit the send button). 5) There will be people who would treat you like a tissue paper to wipe away their problems with your help and then eventually throwing you away.
6) You too can or possibly could’ve used someone else as your tissue paper. On moral grounds, it’s totally up-to you to decide whether or not it is right.
7) The ones you considered as your friends may actually turn out to be just non -friend human beings, while the ones who you thought played side characters in your life may actually turn out to be your true friends.
8) Not everything that happens in your life matters (refer to my post : Things That Don’t Matter ).
9) It’s okay to be confused about love but it’s not okay to keep mum and harbour your thoughts.
10) Like new years, new people will keep coming and going out of your life, amidst this mess, you ought to stand strong. .

Two hands snaps apart

On this day of 17th December.

Two pair of eyes turns moist

On this morning of winter.

What were they actually?

Best, close or just friends.

They had preeminent allies

But were never spaced out.

Like a thread tears

When pulled too strong.

Maybe their best friends

Too yanked strong.

For their sections were changed

So were their groups.

Isn’t it a trauma?

Or school time drama.

Now I see them walk different ways

One goes right and the other…

Suddenly the one with specs rubs her eyes

And bolds her strides.

‘I love my friend’-she said

‘And trust her too.

We will never break up

Even if we’re forced to do’
